PrChapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Photography has emerged as a powerful tool for peacebuilding, offering a platform for storytelling, dialogue, and reconciliation. In Sokoto South Local Government Area, Sokoto State, photography has been used to document conflict, promote understanding, and foster unity among diverse communities. Visual narratives can transcend language barriers, highlighting shared experiences and fostering empathy. According to Aliyu and Musa (2024), photography in Sokoto South has been instrumental in showcasing the region's cultural diversity and promoting peace through collaborative art projects.
